How I work

Communication

I have a home studio for portraits or I can come to your home or workplace if you prefer. For animal or environmental portraits I can suggest locations or use one of your choosing.

The photoshoot

Consultation

First we'll have an initial meeting to discuss your requirements, generate ideas and agree a plan for your photoshoot. I will also quote you a fixed price for the shoot and the number of images you require.

Editing

After the shoot is complete I will provide you with proofs of all the pictures taken and edit the ones you select to the highest standard. I aim to complete my edits in 3 to 5 days.

I work on the basis of outcomes not time. On the day I will potentially take hundreds of pictures and let you review them as we go along. I will only finish the shoot once we are both happy.

Today everyone has a smartphone that can take sharp, well exposed pictures - so who needs a photographer?

To me great photographs are far more than the camera. They come from careful planning, attention to detail and understanding the subject. Creating those images is the art of the photographer.

I can help you capture moments in a relaxed and enjoyable setting, using my experience and creativity to make images that you will want to share and treasure for years to come.

Final images

The finished images will be available in high resolution for you to download and keep forever. You can use them to make your own prints or share with friends and family. I can also arrange high quality printing and framing if you prefer.
