As simple as 1-2-3
On the day I will take as much time as we need to capture the right images. I will also make your Experience as relaxed and as much fun as possible.
First, we will have a personal consultation to discuss your requirements, and I will show you examples of my work. We will generate ideas for your Portrait Experience, discuss possible locations and agree a plan for the day. You will pay a small booking fee to reserve your session.
My passion is capturing special moments in a relaxed and enjoyable setting, using my experience and creativity to make artwork that you will want to display, share and treasure for years to come.
Afterwards I will curate the best images for you to view on my online portal. You will then choose and pay for one of a selection of packages and I will arrange for your artwork to be printed and delivered to you.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a Portrait Experience cost?
You will pay a small booking fee to secure your portrait experience and then choose from one of my print packages available afterwards. You are under no obligation to buy, but most of my clients are so delighted they often order extra. Please refer to my pricelist for details. If you would like to customise a package, I am happy to discuss options with you.
Do I need to be in the photographs?
This is entirely up to you, although for portraits of larger animals such as horses, it will usually be necessary for safety. On the day I can help you relax and pose naturally and, if you are up for it, involve you in the photographic process. My aim is to make it a fun and memorable experience.
How far do you travel?
My booking fee covers travel up to 30 miles from Ipswich, but I am happy to travel further for a small additional cost, which I can discuss with you when you make your booking.
What should I wear?
We can discuss what to wear during your initial consultation. Often clients like to wear something smart but appropriate for the location and season. We can also discuss colour combinations that will have the most impact in the finished artwork.
How long does a Portrait Experience take?
I work on the basis of outcomes not time and will aim to capture at least 20 unique images during your portrait experience, including any you have specifically requested. As a guide this typically takes between 1 and 2 hours, so you should make sure you have enough time to accommodate this.
When is the best time for a Portrait Experience?
I like to work in the mornings and evenings when the light is more flattering, if you can accommodate those times. I work all year round and find that each of the seasons has its own unique characteristics, with Spring and Autumn often being the most dramatic.
What about the weather?
Obviously working outdoors in the UK can create some uncertainty. I will keep in contact with you in the lead-up to your Portrait Experience and if the weather is looking unsuitable, I will offer you a range of alternative dates or times.
Can I buy just the digital files?
I believe your memories belong on your walls, not forgotten on a hard drive. But I also know that clients like digital images for social media, so you will receive high-resolution digital files with each physical print you purchase and the complete set with my "Legacy Collection".
Can I buy a Portrait Experience for someone else?
Absolutely – in fact a Portrait Experience makes an excellent Birthday, Christmas, Anniversary or special occasion gift. We can discuss payment and whether you want the Experience to be a surprise or planned event.
How long does delivery take?
Once you place your order, your selection is sent to a leading UK photographic lab for bespoke printing and artisan framing. Your finished collection will be safely courier-delivered to your door within 14–21 business days.
