This weekend marked the first car meet at our local village pub, with over 100 exhibitors, live music, BBQ and of course beer!
A great opportunity to photograph both vintage and modern cars and talk to their proud owners. These types of events and cars in general present a few challenges - crowds, distracting backgrounds and reflections to name a few.
My approach in this situation was to
use a circular polarizing filter to cut stray reflections from glass and polished metal
shoot at car-height, either at 45 degrees or straight on for a more dramatic look
use a wide apeture and moderate telephoto focal length to blur the background
boost contrast and the main colour of the vehicle in the edit to make the images pop
If you would like to book photographs of your car and create images that you will treasure for years to come contact me for availability and pricing.
